ABA is the scientific application of evidence-based behavior change methods to improve human behavior. In other words, ABA is used to measure behavior and introduce forms of treatment and/or instruction that have demonstrated effectiveness within the research and allow for essential skills to be developed. Continuous measurement of behavior allows us to track progress and make meaningful treatment decisions. Our overall goal is to increase skillsets needed for independent functioning that will promote autonomy and improved quality of life for those we serve.
Assessment — Program Development — education
Assessment
ABA services begin with a comprehensive assessment of skills and behavior. Assessments include, but are not limited to, direct observation of the individual performing specified skills, interviews with parents/caregivers, and a review of medical, academic, behavioral health, and/or psychiatric reports.

EDUCATION
Direct ABA Instruction
Our Registered Behavior Technicians will provide 1 to 1 instruction to improve functioning across the areas identified for improvement within the assessment phase. Frequent supervision is provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to ensure that instruction levels are effective in generating positive change across all skill acquisition targets. We strive to ensure that our levels of instruction are meeting the individual’s needs for ongoing progress and achievement.
Parent Instruction
Research demonstrates that parent participation within applied behavior analysis (ABA) positively correlates with the patient’s cognitive development and acquisition of skills. By increasing the parent’s ability to apply ABA strategies and interventions, the patient’s learning opportunities are increased. Such maximization of the patient’s learning opportunities conducted by parents outside of session has shown to increase generalization via the presentation of multiple scenarios and settings to signal the use of a skill needed for the patient to access reinforcement. It is evident that parent participation leads to better outcomes for the patient, therefore it is our goal to instill, within each parent, the skills needed for program implementation specific to his/her/their child’s ABA goals.
Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts will work with parents and caregivers to ensure that they understand the basic principles of ABA. Parents and caregivers will learn prompting procedures and how to implement identified skill acquisition programs to maximize the child’s learning opportunities in the home.
